As Massie would say EHMAGREAT!

i have been reading this series for a while and i LOVE it. if you ask my mom about this series she would say " my daughter is addicted." so as you can probably guess i am extremely sad about the series ending. and i thought this was an OK ending book. in this particular book it shows how luck and friendships can change in an instant. this book compared to the others has a good grasp on reality. PC forever!

Welcome to the new Clair-a!

Summary: In this installment of the Clique series, Claire has finally broken free from Massie's hold, forming her own group of friends and introducing a new "Clair-a" where people are free to be themselves.
My thoughts: This may be my favorite Clique book so far. I have always seen the underlining theme in the series: that girls in a clique are just like regular girls and are probably even more insecure. This book had that idea come full circle as Massie finally realizes what it's like to be on the outside looking in and what real friendship is. I'm looking forward to the last book in the series.
This series is a good read for middle school girls. It opens a dialogue about fitting in and what lengths girls will go to be popular.

My Little Phony... Great Penultimate Novel

In the latest Clique addition, Claire is getting used to being out of The Pretty Committee by hanging out with Layne (Lame) Abeley. While Claire and Layne are outside playing in the winter snow, Massie, Dylan, Alicia, and Kristen hatch a plan to end Claire's little play date. Massie convinces Claire's little brother to shave his head and offer Claire his winter hat. Massie and the rest of The Pretty Committee watch as Claire accepts her brother's hat and send a quick text explaining that Claire's brother has lice and to refrain from wearing the hat. Massie's plan is successful and the girls run inside not knowing that Massie lied, there were no lice.
Not only is Massie busy being an alpha and ruining LBR Claire's life, but she is also the girlfriend of the hottie, Landon. They have yet to lip kiss and Massie is stressing due to when it will happen and under what circumstances. Is she a bad kisser? What if she does something wrong? Claire, on the other hand, has a new goal: between her, Layne, and all the girls in their school who have victimized by Massie they will begin a new "Claire-a" (era). This new "Claire-a" will let everyone be free of The Pretty Committee and will let everyone express themselves for who they are. Claire and Layne also have another goal: to get back at Massie for the lice scare.They put bugs in Massie's bed and soon Massie has to stay with Claire and wear Claire's clothes until the Block Estate gets fumigated. To add on top of her stress, Massie's parents go out of town and all of her credit cards get declined at the mall.
Will Claire's new "Claire-a" be successful? Will Massie actually wear Claire's clothes? Will Massie get her Landon lip kiss? Find out in this new Clique novel!
This is the penultimate Clique novel and have been a faithful reader since Lisi Harrison's debut novel. This book was a huge step up from the last, but leaves a sour taste in my mouth knowing that the next novel, "A Tale of Two Pretties" will be the last. I feel that the author built up a lot, so much that there could be another two books instead. This book focuses mainly on Massie and Claire as well as their point of views. Dylan, Kristen, and Alicia seemed like minor characters. All in all, you'll find yourself saying Eh-Ma-Gawd with a gaping mouth when you read this novel, in shock of what happened and smile knowing that true friends are out there, even if you give them a fake lice scare. :)
