Final book not as good as first books in series
By Matthew Marlowe
The first book or two in this series were great fun, but honestly I was somewhat bored throughout the first half of the latest entry. However, the pace of action picks up later and near the end is very good. Still, given this is the final book in the series, I was expecting more. Yes, most of the plot issues are handled and perhaps somewhat realistically but I'm not sure I gained anything by the reading.

Wonderful Ending to a Great Series
By MSHRagland
I have loved every word of Glenda Larke's Watergivers trilogy! The characterization was excellent. Shale/Jasper's growth from a young boy to Stormlord was well portrayed, logical, and provided proper motivation for all that happened. All the main characters, both the good and the bad, were people the reader could become vested in. They were fleshed out sufficiently to make them very real to the reader. Her settings were stunning. They had a good balance of minute detail and broad brush strokes. Ms. Larke never over did her settings. They were part of the story, not the story itself. I did not find myself skipping any paragraphs or pages. I was truly amazed at how Ms. Larke made all of the language adapt and revolve around the cultures and landscapes she created. This was especially true in the dialog. Here is a trilogy that is truly impressive and a pleasure to read!

Excellent! with room for more.
By Eluixa
I have eagerly awaited this third and concluding book and was not disappointed.

**TERRIBLE SPOILERS, DO NOT READ FURTHER** Sorry.

Thoughts:
I wanted to see Khromatis, and we did. And then we left it; a biased, nationalistic mess... with enough resources, in water, wood and waterlords, to either help the entire region greatly or cause great trouble.
The Red Quarter can regain stability with 'Uthardim' at the helm, except Khedri will grow up entirely Reduner, and is the most powerful Stormlord the Quartern has known. The possibilities are many and very appealing. And siblings?
Laisa remains Highlord and Lord Gold is nearby. 'Nuff said.
Waterpainting has huge unexplored potential. It also has the capacity to go awry in a twisted way, but so far really hasn't.
'Gibber Grubber' (I love that one) will go out of style.

Questions:
Will Terelle go back to Khromatis and maneuver through the politics (and the Verdigris clan) to take her rightful place as Pinnacle?
Will Jasper learn to pull water from the sea? or ziggers? E[...]
Is 'The Voice of God' really the voice of God? Or is the Khromation religion just as unfounded, or perhaps fabricated, as the Sunlord one? If so, by whom? Were the Alabasters wrongfully persecuted all these years?

This is all by way of saying, I loved this book and this series, and I think there are worlds more to explore here. And I, for one, can't wait!

P.S. Try 'The Isles of Glory', too. Those are my favorites of Ms. Larke's.
