Cute Book, But Mine Was Poor Quality In Physical Terms

I purchased this book for my 8 year old foster son who loves minions! We do 'fifteen minutes of reading' each evening, and I wanted to get them books that they would enjoy delving into. I was kind of disappointed when this one arrived. Here's why...
1) One entire set of pages had fallen out of the book. The staples poorly kept the book together and the middle section had fallen out. We used some tape to put it back together, but it doesn't look very nice. The cover is a thick glossy paperback cover. Not super-high quality, which I think has a lot to do with the pages falling out. The staples just didn't hold anything together well, including the cover or pages.
2) It was bent, significantly. And it was in a box- so I don't think this was done through the Post Office, but rather either from the company or Amazon packaging. Not a huge fan of this- and neither is he. We can't get the crease out. It doesn't take away from the story, but did take away from the quality of the book.
Other than those two aspects of the physical book, the story was great! A great reading level for my 8 year old, in 3rd grade. Some words are a bit challenging for him, but that's great! He can get through the book entirely on his own, in about 15 to 20 minutes (depending how focused he is). He does enjoy reading it, but after a few times lost interest- which hasn't happened with his other books themed with SpongeBob. This one is based entirely on the movie and does a great job of summing up everything in a way kids can read and find entertainment in.
I hate rating this book based on the physical aspects- as that is not the right reason to down-rate a book. But to be completely honest, I was extremely disappointed in the quality! I wish the physical book would have been in better condition. If it was- I would have happily rated this 5 stars.

My young reader loved the movie, and loved the book

This cute little book is a compressed version of the story of Universal Studios’ wonderful movie, Despicable Me. The book has lots of bright and colorful illustrations that look just like they were taken from the movie. The big difference between the movie and this book is that the story of the girls is nearly entirely removed. However, to retell the entire story of the movie would make for a very long book, one probably too long for the target audience of this book.
My young reader loved the movie, and loved the book. We both highly recommend it!
